About

Montgomery County, Texas, is one of the fastest-growing regions in the state, with its population increasing by over 18% since 2020. Cities like Conroe, Magnolia, and The Woodlands are growing rapidly, and the rising population emphasizes the critical need for improved transportation infrastructure.

To keep up with this growth, the Montgomery County Commissioners Court has called for a bond election on May 3, 2025, to authorize up to $480 million for road construction, maintenance, and improvements.

This bond will address traffic congestion, enhance safety, and improve regional connectivity to ensure the county can accommodate future growth and maintain a high quality of life for residents.

Funding

Proposition A will assign $480 million for road construction, maintenance, and improvements across Montgomery County. Each County Commissioner will receive an equal share of $120 million for road projects within their precinct. This funding will be used to address critical road improvements, and importantly, there will be no tax increase to fund these projects.
